A one-day training program on silage making techniques was successfully organized at Rajawala village with the support of the Forest Research Institute (FRI) and the Krishi Van Research Center. The program was conducted under the supervision of the Development and Environment Protection Committee (Dhaara). Around 80 farmers from the region participated in the training and learned scientific methods for preparing and storing silage for livestock.
During the session, experts demonstrated the complete process of silage preparation, including fodder cutting, preservation, and storage techniques, enabling farmers to store green fodder for longer periods. The training highlighted how silage helps provide nutritious feed to livestock throughout the year, improving animal health and increasing milk production.
Scientists from the Forest Research Institute, including Dr. Dinesh Kumar and Dr. Vinod, guided the farmers and provided practical demonstrations. The event also addressed farmers’ queries and offered solutions to various livestock management challenges. Several community members and local representatives were present, including village leaders and participating farmers from nearby areas.
