Krishivan Research Centre conducted a hands-on BSFL (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) training programme for farmers from across India, introducing participants to the practical applications of Black Soldier Fly technology in sustainable agriculture and alternative feed production.
The training provided real-time, practical learning under the guidance of experienced experts, covering BSFL rearing, lifecycle management, larvae production and their potential use in sustainable protein-rich feed for poultry, fish and other farming applications.
Farmers had the opportunity to interact directly with experts, understand the practical aspects of BSFL production, and gain insights into developing low-cost, sustainable and commercially viable farming solutions.
The programme at Krishivan Research Centre brought together farmers and agricultural practitioners to explore BSFL technology as an emerging waste-to-value and sustainable livelihood opportunity in India.
