A two-day educational exposure visit and training program was organized on 9–10 February 2026 at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, Haryana, for farmers and participants from Uttarakhand. The program was conducted with the support of the Soil Conservation Forest Division, Kalsi, and the Krishivan Research Center for Agripreneurship Development and Environment Protection Committee, Dehradun. A total of 36 participants took part in the training, aiming to enhance their knowledge and technical understanding of modern dairy farming practices.
During the program, experts from NDRI provided detailed sessions on advanced dairy management, improved cattle and buffalo breeds, scientific livestock feeding practices, and milk production techniques. Participants also visited various facilities of the institute, including dairy processing units, research laboratories, and livestock farms, where they observed practical demonstrations and interacted with scientists. The training helped farmers understand how modern dairy technologies and value-added dairy products can improve livestock productivity and strengthen rural livelihoods.
